Moving in Canada With Pets

Residential Movers Canada know that you need to plan ahead if you have pets that will be accompanying you on your Canadian move. If your move in Canada involves air travel, contact the airline carriers at least a month in advance of your move. Purchase or create ID tags with your new address and phone number and make sure your pet wears them during travel. Purchase leashes for your dogs and for your cats; cats won’t appreciate the leash but it is necessary when moving. Purchase crates for your pets to travel in if needed.

A few weeks before your move, request a copy of your pet’s veterinary records, rabies vaccination records, and a health certificate. Make sure your pets are up to date with their shots and any other airline requirements. Ask your vet if a mild sedative would be advisable while moving for your pet. Ask your vet to recommend a vet in your new hometown for your pet.
